Misplaced Mutts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, volunteer-powered animal rescue dedicated to saving dogs and cats from shelters, the streets, and less-than-ideal situations throughout North Carolina.

Based in Carteret County, we work through a dedicated network of foster families and volunteers who believe every animal deserves the chance to be safe, loved, and valued. We created Misplaced Mutts to give animals a second chance—and to help prevent them from becoming another life lost to neglect, abuse, or simply being overlooked.
