Meet Our Mutts

Meet our adoptable dogs!
We do our best to update our website regularly but visit us on Facebook for pictures galore!
You can still apply for a dog you have recently seen on Facebook, even if you don't see them on this site! Please message us on Facebook or email us at misplacedmutts@gmail.com with any additional questions you might have!
We are a foster based program so our dogs are living in foster homes, working on house training, crate training, basic manners etc. We are excited to work with you to find you the right dog for your home and lifestyle!

Avika
Avika is a slender, sleek, tripod beauty! She is healthy, active and unphased by her 3 legged life. She is smart and so sweet and would make a wonderful companion. She is just over a year old and full of life!

Misty
This sweet girl was found running scared alon a rural Kinston Highway. She has proven to be extremely loving and we just adore her. She is an excellent car rider and does fantastic on a leash. If you are ready for a loving, loyal companion, this is your girl!

Enid
This beautiful girl is said to be a Germain pointer/ lab mix and around a year old. She is dog, friendly and extra, loving with people she would love the opportunity to be a very best friend and land a home of her very own.

Rocky
This sweet senior brindle mix was pulled from the local Humane Society. He is extremely loving and would love to have a nurturing family home to thrive in for his senior years! Rocky is truly wonderful.

Charlie
When owners pass away, there isn’t always family to take in the orphaned pet. This was the case for sweet senior, Charlie, when his momma recently passed away. We will honor his lost momma by getting his vet care up to date and finding him a comfortable retirement home where he can be loved in his golden years. He had some fleas and his skin needs some healing. Charlie will be feeling his best in no time. Stay tuned for more updates!

Mookie and Goldie
We have a special request for this precious pair, that they land a home together. Mookie the chihuahua is 8 lbs, 5 years old and Goldie, a possible chi-weenie, is 20lbs, 6 years old. They are a bonded pair and just SO incredibly sweet and loving. We took them in after their owner passed and hope to find a loving home where they will be loved and adored!

Ariat
Sweet Ariat is a 4 month old beauty that is learning to trust people. She and her sister (adopted) were trapped on a rural property, scared and confused. She is a stunning shepherd mix with a very bright future ahead of her. Patience and love will go a long way with miss Ariat. Are you ready for a loyal beauty to join your family?! This girl is going to turn heads!

Stewart
Meet Stewart, a 2–4-year-old neutered pup who came to us from Craven Shelter scared, stressed, and badly matted after being surrendered. He needed time to decompress and initially struggled with a fear of being handled, but in just a couple of weeks he has made remarkable progress and continues to gain confidence. Stewart is crate trained, house trained, food motivated, and does great with other dogs (and would be fine with cats). He enjoys walks once he’s comfortable and would do best in a patient, understanding home with a fully fenced yard where he can warm up at his own pace. Stewart wants love and connection—he’s just learning how to accept it on his terms, and he is absolutely worth the time and care it takes to earn his trust.

Ziggy
This is Ziggy! He is a handsome boy ready to steal your heart. He will grow to be a big boy! He is doing wonderful in his foster home but he can't wait to have a home of his very own! Ziggy is estimated to be around 10 weeks old.

Drift
Drift is a beautiful young pup (12 weeks) who came to us with his littermates from the Craven County shelter. His siblings resemble Catahoula mixes, sporting dapple coat patterns and beautiful eyes but Dr. Drift here got a fuzzy gene from somewhere! He has a soulful expression and will grow to be a beauty!

Briar
Briar is Drift's brother and he is so happy to be out of the shelter and in a loving foster home. He is a fun loving sweetheart and ready to be a family member!
